Why should you book a Newborn Photoshoot?

When you welcome a new life into the world, the first few days are full of love, joy, and a rush of emotions. As a professional photographer, I am passionate about capturing and preserving these memories for you to treasure forever.

When you book a newborn photo session with me, you invite me to capture the beauty and wonder of those first days of your little one’s life. I understand this is a unique and special time for you, and I am here to ensure that we create images that truly reflect the love and joy you and your baby share. The process is designed to be simple and stress-free, and I would be honoured to work with you to capture the magic of this special moment in your life.

When is the best time for Newborn Photos?

The best time to photograph newborn babies is between 7 and 14 days. You can book your session after your 20-week scan. That’s why booking your session based on your due date is best, so we can secure a slot. If your baby has already arrived, don’t hesitate to reach out – I might still be able to find an available slot for you. Newborn sessions are booked only in the morning to ensure the best results.

How long does it take?

The photo session typically takes between 2 and 4 hours, but I take as many breaks as needed for feeding or cuddling. Baby’s comfort and safety are my top priority, so there’s no need to rush. I’m always relaxed and ready to capture special moments. 

Can you choose the colours and props?

Booking a newborn photo shoot allows you to express your preferred colours and props through a provided questionnaire. Coordinating the colours with your home decor is crucial if you plan to display a large print. A variety of soft and skin-friendly outfits and props for your baby are available for selection. 

Can you ask for a specific pose?

Every baby is different, and some may prefer certain poses over others. My priority is always to keep the baby calm and happy, and I will listen to their wishes. Safety is always my main concern, and I won’t try poses that could harm your baby. 

Should you bring your family to the Photoshoot?

I welcome and encourage parents, partners, and siblings to be part of the photo session. Capturing pictures of the entire family is essential to the experience, so remember to bring a suitable outfit for everyone. Pets are part of your family and should also be part of this special memory. I welcome and encourage you to bring your furry friends to the photo session. 

What should you bring for the Baby?

While I have nappies on hand if you run out, bringing your preferred brand is always a good idea. Babies tend to eat more than usual during the session, so it’s best to be prepared. 

How does the Newborn Photoshoot process work?

When it comes to having a newborn photography session with me, it’s important to remember that I take a limited number of photoshoots each month to ensure the highest quality of service. That’s why booking your session based on your due date is best, so we can secure a slot. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you understand what to expect: 

• Contact me to confirm availability: Get in touch with me to check if I’m available and to secure a slot based on your due date. All photoshoots take place at our home studio located at 1 Hilltop Way, HA7 3DB, Stanmore, London. We operate by appointment only, and our hours are from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Secure your booking: A £99 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking, which will be deducted from your final order.
• Choose your package: During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your preferred package. We’ll also have a phone consultation, going over all the details, such as clothing options, desired poses, and where and how you’d like to display your wall art.
• Preparation: On the day of the photoshoot, make sure you bring with you all the items you need for your baby, such as diapers, bottles, etc.
• The photoshoot: The actual photoshoot will be scheduled after your baby’s arrival. I’ll work with you to create images that truly reflect who you are and your special bond with your baby. I’ll ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable experience as we capture the beauty and love of this special time in your life.
• Final balance: Your balance will be due at the end of the session, and you can pay by card or cash.
• View your images: About 4-5 weeks after the photoshoot, you’ll have access to a private online gallery where you’ll get to view your fully edited images and select your favourites.
• Order additional products: If you’d like, purchase additional digital images( £30 for each extra digital image), prints, and wall art. A detailed price list for these additional products can be found on the Wall Art page.
• Delivery: Delivery of prints/wall art to your home address will take up to 3 weeks after the final selection of digital images.

It’s important to note that unedited images are not included in any packages and are not available for purchase.
